Rebecca Perols

Bio

Rebecca R. Perols earned her master’s degree from San Diego State’s Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy in 2010 and her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in 2019. Shortly after earning her Ph.D. she returned to the Lamden School of Accountancy as an assistant professor.

Prior to receiving her Ph.D., Perols worked as a technology risk manager at a global consulting firm, and later, as an accounting lecturer at the University of San Diego.  Perols is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

Her research specializes in cybersecurity, data analytics, and internal controls and has been published in leading academic journals.  Perols teaches accounting information systems.
