International Study Trip

An integral component of the EMBA program is to participate in an international study program, which is designed to allow students to gain an understanding of global business cultural practices and acquire direct international experience in foreign countries. The international study program is connected with course BA 709: Global Financial Environment. The international study program includes the following accommodations:

  • Organization of 1-2 business site visits per day, including a presentation by management and tour facilities (if applicable)
  • Ground transfers for group activities and site visits
  • Coordination of educational activities with professors or governmental representatives
  • Welcome dinner/cultural immersion
  • City tour or other cultural activity

The international study program does not include:

  • Roundtrip airfare to/from the US to the international destination

Testimonials

EMBA has provided me with skills necessary to contribute more to the success of my company. As the Director of Logistics for Calimax in Tijuana, I found the international portion of the program to be particularly relevant and useful in my professional development. I particularly enjoyed the trip to China and Thailand which complemented the international economics portion of the program. But personally, the best part of the program was the interaction with the other students and faculty.
