Dr. Musteen is passionate about mentoring her students in the areas that may include but are not limited to:

  • Social and international entrepreneurship (e.g. how can entrepreneurship solve the problems of poverty and illiteracy in the U.S. and around the world)
  • International business (e.g. what makes companies competitive in the international arena; what is the role of culture in international business dealings; how do social networks impact international business)
  • International mergers and acquisitions
  • Cross-cultural issues in business
  • Globalization of sustainable development

Through series of group and one-to-one meetings, Prof. Musteen leads her student protégés to develop skills in research and helps them select their own research topic based on personal interests. Prof. Musteen mentors her students to develop and execute their own study of publishable quality. In addition, she encourages her protégés to present their work in Student Symposia and professional or academic conferences.
