SDSU Named Among Top Financial Planning Schools in U.S.
The financial planning program at the College of Business Administration at San Diego State University was named one of Financial Planning magazine's "25 Great Schools For Future Financial Planners" in their November 2012 issue.
SDSU shares this recognition with seven other U.S. business schools which offer both a degree program and a certificate program.
SDSU's College of Business Administration is one of the first universities to offer financial planning as part of its academic curriculum. The program trains students to fully understand and analyze investment strategies, risk management, tax implications, and estate planning. Students can earn their certificate, bachelor's degree or master's degree in financial planning.
Dr. Michael Cunningham, dean of SDSU's College of Business Administration, comments on this recognition: "Over 30 years ago, the College laid the foundation for a top-notch financial planning program by offering students a ground-breaking academic curriculum taught by innovative and dedicated faculty members. We continued to build upon our well-earned reputation as one of the top financial planning educational institutions in the world and we are honored that Financial Planning magazine has chosen to recognize SDSU's College of Business Administration for the second year in a row."
