SDSU Students take 2nd in FAStech Cup Competition
Three San Diego State financial planning students, Brandon Tucker, Lucas Penshorn ad Vernon Eberly took second place in the inaugural FAStech Cup competition held during the annual Technology Tools for Today (T3) Conference held in Anaheim, California from February 9 - 12, 2014
The FAStech Cup competition pitted eight teams of university students from across the U.S. in a two-day contest that began with students developing a personal financial plan using FAStech's MoneyGuidePro application to build a simulated case study. The next day, they demonstrated their knowledge of the financial services industry on Quiz Day. On the third day, the students presented their financial plans for expert evaluation during the Competition Showcase.
Eventually, William Patterson University was declared the winner with SDSU a close second.
Dr. Tom Warschauer, founder of SDSU's top-ranked financial services program, served as the faculty advisor to the students.
