Entrepreneur Day 2015 is the biggest ever at San Diego State
The 2015 Entrepreneur Day, now in its sixth year, has proven to be the most successful yet, with over 40 companies setting up in tents to display products, services, student organizations or specific causes along the Centennial Walkway on SDSU’s central campus.
This year, the event was held on Wednesday March 4 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. with most of the businesses founded by or run by either current SDSU students or SDSU alumni. Some of the businesses were already firmly established, such as Oggi’s Pizza & Brewing Company which has attended Entrepreneur Day on a regular basis (vice president, Estella Ferrera earned her MBA at SDSU in 2009). But many companies at the event were less than a year old and presented at Entrepreneur Day to test their marketability.
A number of business offered raffles or free samples to the members of the public who were on hand for Entrepreneur Day and all agreed that the event was a good place to get some one-on-one feedback from potential customers.
Entrepreneur Day is part of a larger entrepreneurial celebration at SDSU where a major academic conference – the California Entrepreneurship Educators’ Conference - will take place along with the third annual LeanModel Start-up Competition.
