SDSU’s Alpha Kappa Psi Chapter Honored with Campus Diversity Award

The Alpha Kappa Psi (Mu Sigma) chapter at San Diego State University was recognized for their commitment to diversity within its membership and outreach activities during the 11th annual SDSU Diversity Awards Celebration held Wednesday, April 29, 2015. The group was honored with the Student Organization Diversity Award which was presented to the group’s president, Alonso Mojica, a junior majoring in international business.

Founded in 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest university-based business fraternity in the U.S. The Mu Sigma chapter is co-ed and open to all majors.

It is a great honor for Alpha Kappa Psi to win the Student Organization Diversity Award.

“It is a great honor for Alpha Kappa Psi to win the Student Organization Diversity Award,” said Mojica. “Diversity, being one of SDSU’s key strengths, is a quality Alpha Kappa Psi is very honored to take part. We have members that include a variety of ethnic and religious backgrounds who have all come together to focus on leadership, professional development and our service to the community.”
