Women Entrepreneurs of SDSU
According to researchers at the Kauffman Foundation, women represent more than half of the educated population in the U.S., but they own only 16 percent of the nation’s employer firms and account for less than 10 percent of the founders of high-growth firms.*
But more and more, women who have earned their degree at SDSU’s College of Business Administration are taking the plunge into entrepreneurship and they are finding that being their own boss suits them.
Here are the stories of six of women left SDSU with a degree and a desire to take that giant leap forward by starting own businesses.
